YOU JUST CAN'T PAY.

Ignoring a pot citation can be dangerous

Ignoring a citation for marijuana can mean the loss of a lot more than a clean record. Contact Marc A. Zeve for reliable legal representation in your corner.

This is No Joke!

Even though, as of October 1, 2014, Maryland decriminalized Marihuana if the amount is less than 10 grams, The police will now issue a Civil Citation with a Court Date.  CALL ME BEFORE YOU JUST PAY THIS CITATION.  This record cannot be expunged and will be on your record forever!  The State’s Attorney’s office still offers a diversion program for these citations. I can do a stand in appearance so you do not need to attend Court and erase this matter Forever. I highly recommend you contact me to discuss the benefits before you just pay the citation.  Possession of in excess of 10 grams is still a crime in Maryland, punishable by a fine and a term in jail.

The facts are . . .

Especially if you are a visitor to the state, you should know that pot still is NOT legal in the state of Maryland. On October 1st 2014 marijuana would be decriminialized, if the amount is over 10 grams.

  • You could go to jail
  • You could lose your student loans
  • You could end up with a criminal record
  • Ignore the citation and you will have a warrant issued for your arrest
  • Your appearance in court is required unless you obtain Counsel.

All is not lost, though. Call us immediately to appear in court on your behalf so you don't have to return, and like hundreds before you, we will work hard to have your record expunged at a reasonable rate
